I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in North Carolina, a Qualified LCMHC Supervisor and an AAMFT Supervisor in training. I earned my Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from the University of Houston. I have about 10 years of mental health experience including residential treatment, outpatient treatment, and private practice. I work with couples and adult individuals with a wide range of struggles including (but not limited to) relationship distress, anxiety, stress, depression, behavioral issues, anger, and trauma.
My primary modality is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). However, I am also versed in Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT).
As Hugh Mackay (social psychologist) said "Nothing is perfect. Life is messy. Relationships are complex. Outcomes are uncertain." I say, with all of this being true, there is still hope for change and improvement in ones situation. Reach out and let's work together to make this hope a reality!
I am a Counseling Intern currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. I also hold a Master’s degree in Community Counseling, and I am pursuing this additional degree as part of my continued commitment to providing ethical, effective, and compassionate mental health care.
I have experience working with individuals and families across a range of concerns, including substance use, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My clinical approach is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrative, client-centered practices, allowing therapy to be tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
I am a SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator, offering premarital counseling designed to help couples strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and build a healthy foundation for marriage.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families as they navigate personal challenges, relational concerns, parenting stress, identity development, and adjustment to life changes. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process where clients feel empowered and understood.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish and am able to conduct therapy and assessments in Spanish. I value cultural responsiveness and strive to create an inclusive and respectful space for clients from all backgrounds.
Clients often describe me as warm and easy to talk to, creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where they feel comfortable being themselves.
